BLACK WOMEN OF EVANSTON (BWOE)

A 501c3 community and safe space dedicated to empowering Black women.

Black Women of Evanston (BWoE) is a community safe space dedicated to empowering Black women on the NorthShore. Our focus is service, unifying the community, and self-care.

We are a vibrant community dedicated to uplifting, supporting, and celebrating local Black women. We foster sisterhood, promote wellness, and cultivate meaningful relationships. We organize a range of events tailored for Black women. We are collectively changing the narrative of Black women on the North Shore and all across the Chicagoland area one event at a time.

Together, we are demonstrating the remarkable outcomes that arise when women come together to support one another. As women, we must stand strongly united with one another without passing judgment.
